Day 1 Arrival in Srinagar. Drive to Aharbal or Shopian (base region). Trek briefing, equipment check, acclimatization walk. Overnight stay in tents or guesthouse.
Day 2 Base Village to Kungwattan. Trek through pine and fir forests with gradual ascent, crossing streams and meadows. Reach the scenic Kungwattan meadow. Overnight camping.
Day 3 Kungwattan to Mahinag. Trek across high-altitude grasslands with continuous ascent and panoramic views. Pass shepherd settlements en route. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 4 Mahinag to Kousarnag Lake. Early start and steep climb towards Kousarnag Pass. First glimpse of the sacred lake. Time to explore and relax. Overnight camping near the lake (weather permitting).
Day 5 Kousarnag to Mahinag / Return Camp. Morning views of the lake and surrounding peaks. Descend back through alpine terrain. Overnight camping.
Day 6 Mahinag to Base Village. Descend through lush meadows and forest trails. Reach base village. Overnight stay.
